DNA Insulator 0179

This Biomodule is a modification of Biomodule 69ECKQ and acts as insulator specifically designed to be used to insulate two adjacent CDS in polycistronic constructs. The DNA insulator contains: (i) 3 consecutive stop codons in all 6 reading frames at 5', (ii) 2 strong complementary sequences that act as RNA polymerase terminators and 3' RBS derived from Biomodule followed by an ATG start codon.
The DNA insulator has been designed not to interfere with plasmid propagation.
